Parent Religious Education

Attention Parents! You are invited to attend a religious education class of your very own. Parent RE will be offered the 2nd and 3rd Sundays of each month beginning October 14th, at 9:35 a.m. in the Mary Shelley room in the Thoreau Building. (These are the same dates as classroom Sundays for the children.) In Fall 2007, we're continuing our exploration of the UUA curriculum "The Parent Trilogy."

This discussion group will be centered around a different topic each week such as ways to answer our children's questions about war, racism, and poverty, ways to explore the values we hope to communicate to our children, and ways to share our commitments to change. The theme for October, November, and December is "Parents as Social Justice Educators".

This is a great opportunity to learn from and support one another as parents in our religious searches. It is also a fabulous way to maintain part of our commitment to the Parent Covenant in support of our children's religious searches, too!  All parents, grandparents, and care givers are welcome!
