Celestial Celebrations Circle :
CCC's purpose is to provide spiritual enrichment for UUs interested in exploring earth-centered spirituality, and also to provide the opportunity for other San Antonio pagans to connect with Unitarian Universalism. All CCC events are open to any interested adult who wishes to explore this spiritual path in harmony with Unitarian Universalist Purposes and Principles.

Crones:
Crones (wise women) is a small women's group established to provide deeper connections with one another and as a place for spiritual exploration and growth. Gatherings may focus on some theme or a free exchange of ideas or stories.
When/Where: Tuesdays, 7 PM, twice monthly.

Emerson Book Shop:
An opportunity to purchase books for all ages about Unitarian Universalism and with liberal religious themes, as well as bumper stickers, jewelry, fair trade coffee and chocolate.
When/Where: Sundays following the worship service (approx 12:15 PM), Sanctuary Classroom.

Faith and Reason Fellowship (formerly UU Christian Fellowship):
A group formed to foster critical religious exploration for individuals with (or without!) Christian roots. True certainty can exist only after all possibilities have been considered.
When/Where: Thursday evenings, 7:00-8:30 PM, Fellowship Hall (Channing-Murray building).

Forum:
Occasional presentations and/or discussion group on various topics of current interest to our church community and to the community at large. Forum topics are scheduled by the Social Action Committee.

Great Decisions:
The Great Decisions Global Affairs Education Program is an annual education and discussion program, sponsored by the Foreign Policy Association (www.fpa.org). The program includes the annual Briefing Book, Great Decisions TV, the National Opinion Ballot Report, discussion groups across the country and the Great Decisions Online newsletter. First UU’s Great Decisions study group usually meets for six-eight Sunday evenings between late January and March. If interested in co-facilitating this study group, Contact: Ellen Shrouf
New Unitarian Universalism Orientation (New UU):
Facilitated by our minister and the Membership Committee, this course is a great way to learn about Unitarian Universalism. It provides an overview of our congregation and is required for new members who have not previously belonged to a Unitarian Universalist church.

North East Neighbors:
Neighborhood-based small group that includes a monthly discussion topic and socializing. We try to include Unitarian Universalists and like-minded religious liberals from the North East area of San Antonio and towns northeast of San Antonio (such as Converse, Schertz, New Braunfels, Live Oak, Kirby and Universal City).
When/Where: 2nd Wednesday of the month.

Parent Religious Education :
If you have ever felt challenged by the task of raising children in a culture of consumerism and violence or have wondered how to help your kids develop Unitarian Universalist values, please join us in Parent RE. This facilitator-led group uses curricula to explore these and other related issues.

Religious Explorations (Adult Religious Education):
The format for this continuing seminar is a video presentation for the first half hour, followed by discussion. Currently the class is reviewing and discussing a series on Unitarian Universalist personaities.

Spiritual Seekers:
We examine world religions and spiritual ideas with emphasis given to their relevance to our lives today and the commonalities that link each religion. We provide a community for each member to find their own spiritual path in an open, inquiring, supportive environment.

UU Buddhist Study Group:

UU Philosophy Class:
THE UU PHILOSOPHY CLASS is continuing its research into 'happiness' by studying Daniel Gilbert's book, "Stumbling on Happiness". Dr. Gilbert explains what the cognitive sciences tell humans about our ability to find, predict, and obtain 'happiness'. This study will bridge to the next topic on the Philosophy of Mind and the difficult topic of Consciousness. This study is based upon lectures of Prof. Daniel N. Robinson, Oxford University, by way of the Teaching Company. The class is led by Bruce Beck, a local philosophy instructor.
