7th principle group

Attention Nature-Lovers:

Do you have (or would you like to develop) an appreciation for the serenity offered by beautiful outdoor spaces and animals of all kinds? Do you desire to see those spaces and their inhabitants better understood, appreciated and protected? Would you like to join other persons in a sharing of knowledge and experiences pertaining to the natural world by getting out into nature and learning about all of it’s aspects, their relationship to each other, including humans, and our responsibilities regarding them?

The 7th Principle Nature Group of the First Unitarian Universalist Unitarian Church of San Antonio exists for these purposes. Our seventh principle states that, as members of the Unitarian Universalist Association we covenant to affirm and promote "Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part".

Church members and non-members interested in appreciating and revering nature with like-minded persons are welcome to participate in the activities of the 7th Principle Group. Activities are planned to suit all tastes and ages and include trips to bat caves, wildflower and animal preserves, hiking, camping, biking, swimming, caving, climbing and more in San Antonio and the surrounding areas, movies, spiritual retreats, star-gazing, exploring dumps and recycling centers/options, inviting experts/attending forums on organic gardening, composting, entomology, herpetology and the like, and more. Your company, ideas and/or the sharing of your expertise are welcome and appreciated. Please join this group in the exploration of this beautiful planet, in learning how to love and protect it, and in creating spiritual experiences harmonizing with nature.
